What is CO2e?

CO2e stands for carbon dioxide equivalent. This is a standardised metric used to measure greenhouse gas emissions. Different gasses will have different impacts on global warming, this global warming potential (GWP) is used to calculate how much equivalent CO2 would cause equal levels of global warming. By standardising these gasses into CO2e, we can easily compare the climate impact over many products and activities using a single figure.
